Women ages 13-18 years

NOCC is set up for teen pregnancy prevention, birth control, STD screening, and vaccinations. The vaccinations that are recommended are the following;

  • Diphtheria and reduced tetanus toxoids and acellular pertussis vaccine booster
  • Hepatitis A& B vaccine (if not previously immunized)
  • Human papillomavirus vaccine (one series for those not previously immunized; ages 9-26 years)
  • Influenza vaccine (annually)
  • Measles mumps and rubella vaccine (for those not previously immunized)
  • Meningococcal vaccine (before entry into high school for those not previously immunized)
  • Varicella vaccine (one series for those without evidence of chicken pox.

We will also focus on tobacco, alcohol and drug abuse preventions. Other recommended testing include: Rubella titer assessment and tuberculosis skin testing. Teen pregnancy prevention will educate patient on the importance of postponing sexual involvement to prevent unwanted and unintended pregnancies as well as the different contraceptive options, including emergency contraception.

Women ages 19-39 years

This clinic will evaluate reproductive planning, fitness, nutrition, cervical cancer prevention, STD prevention and screening. Reproductive planning will include contraceptive options, preconception and genetic counseling. Vaccinations recommended are the following:

  • Tetanus toxoid every 10 years
  • Human papillomavirus vaccine ( one series for those not previously immunized; ages 9-26 years)
  • Hepatitis A& B vaccine (if not previously immunized)
  • Influenza vaccine (annually)
  • Measles mumps and rubella vaccine (for those not previously immunized)
  • Meningococcal vaccine (before entry into college for those not previously immunized)

Women ages 40-64 years

NOCC will evaluate patients for Cervical and Breast cancer (mammogram every 1-2 years starting at the age 40) , blood pressure, Cholesterol (starting 45 years and older every 5 years), Diabetes (starting 45 years or older every 3 years), Thyroid disorder (starting 50 years or older every 5 years), Colonoscopy (starting 50 years or older every 10 years), Osteoporosis (Dexa Scan every 2 years after the age of 60), Hormone therapy, urinary and fecal incontinence, Aspirin prophylaxis to reduce the risk of stroke (ages 55-79 years old). Vaccines recommended are the following: 

  • Tetanus toxoid every 10 years
  • Influenza vaccine (annually)
  • Herpes zoster (single dose ages 60 years or older)
  • Varicella vaccine (one series for those without evidence of immunity)
  • Pneumococcal vaccine (once over the age of 50)

Women ages 65 years and Older

We provide evaluations for patients for cervical (up to the age of 65 or 70 years old) and breast cancer (mammogram every 1-2 years) , blood pressure, high cholesterol (starting 45 years and older every 5 years), diabetes (starting 45 years or older every 3 years), thyroid disorder (starting 50 years or older every 5 years), colonoscopy (starting 50 years or older every 10 years), osteoporosis (dexa scan every 2 years after the age of 60), hormone therapy (In house pharmacy and compounding), urinary and fecal incontinence, aspirin prophylaxis to reduce the risk of stroke (up to the age of 79 years old). Vaccines recommended are the following:

  • Tetanus toxoid every 10 years
  • Influenza vaccine (annually)
  • Herpes zoster (single dose ages 60 years or older)
  • Varicella vaccine (one series for those without evidence of immunity)
  • Pneumococcal vaccine (once over the age of 50)

Early Access Prenatal Care

This clinic will evaluate patients for diabetes, hypertension, genetic screen (Congenital and Neuro tube disorders), establishing due dates and ultrasound evaluations to evaluate fetal anatomy. Our clinic is equipped with an in-house laboratory, pharmacy (prenatal vitamins), ultrasound, and fetal monitoring devices. This clinic is endorsed and supported by the University Medical Center (UNR residency and faculty as well as UNLV nursing). Our prenatal labs are performed through Quest laboratory at a reduced price.
